Technology at CAA

Central Academy of the Arts currently has one stationary lab with 30 student-use desktop computers. In addition, there are two mobile computer labs each containing 24laptops that were purchased with Title I funds. The mobile labs can be signed out for classroom use and are a great asset to our school!

Each classroom has a Promethean Board for instructional use as well as laptops that are utilized by students on almost a daily basis. In a few weeks, our school will receive new PolyVision boards for each classroom!

Every student in the school is using Classworks—software purchased by the district that is individually tailored to each student's level, providing remediation when needed and challenging them to master more skills. Our students are also using a math program called IXL. This program was purchased with our Title I funds and challenges each student to practice their math skills. In addition, we have Nooks that can be signed out and used in the classroom. We are growing leaps and bounds with our technology at Central Academy of the Arts!
